For this type of research, you will log on to a website (usually every day or every few days) to complete a series of activities. These activities vary from short multiple-choice surveys to online discussions with other community members. This methodology is great for those with busy schedules or those who need the freedom to complete their tasks at their leisure (rather than during a specific time of day).
From time to time, brands need to see how people interact with their products in the real world. This is where Shop-alongs come into play! For this type of study, you will go shopping and researchers will watch to see how you interact with their store and/or products out in the wild! These studies are a fun change of pace from more traditional research methods.
Sometimes nothing beats a good old-fashioned brainstorming sesh...which is why we regularly conduct discussion groups! This type of study brings together you and several others (groups usually consist of 3 - 8 people) to share your experiences, ideas and thoughts about products, businesses, and/or ideas. Unlike in-depth interviews though, discussion groups give you the chance to piggy-back off the ideas of other participants in your group!
There are some studies where we will want to get down and dirty with all of the nitty gritty details. Whether it’s about an experience you’ve had with an insurance provider or about your favorite smartphone application, these types of studies allow us to learn a ton of information in a short amount of time.
Always a fan favorite! When you sign up for a product test with Hivemind, we will ship a product to your home for you to use for a set period of time (usually a few days to a couple weeks). These studies are great for anyone who wants to help companies improve soon to be released products.
Similar to in-depth interviews, online journals are a great way for our researchers to learn all about your experiences with products and companies...except instead of having a set time to share this information, you can complete your journals whenever you have free time!
